Gemfan Glow Gas IC 12×8 Propeller

Gemfan Glow Gas IC 12×8 Propeller (single)

This listing is for a 1280 (12×8) single Glow IC propeller.

These propellers come in a grey hue and are created from the robust combination of Glass Fibre and Nylon, ensuring enduring quality and toughness.

A glow propeller, also known as a glow engine propeller, is a type of propeller designed specifically for use with internal combustion engines in remote-controlled (RC) models, particularly fixed wing aircraft.

Glow propellers are engineered to work in tandem with the power characteristics and RPM range of glow engines. They are designed to optimize thrust and performance for these specific engines. The shape, pitch, and size of a glow propeller are carefully calibrated to ensure efficient power transfer from the engine to the airframe, resulting in stable flight and maneuverability.

When choosing a propeller for an RC fixed-wing aircraft, factors such as the aircraft’s size, weight, power source (electric or gas/glow engine), desired flight characteristics, and intended use should be considered. Propeller selection can have a significant impact on overall performance, including speed, thrust, efficiency, and maneuverability. It’s essential to consult the manufacturer’s recommendations and experiment with different propellers to find the best match for your aircraft and flying style.
