The Corona CSBP-1 serves as a versatile tool for configuring S.BUS servos and S.BUS decoders, as well as for testing the voltage of lithium battery packs of up to 8 cells.
Key Functions:
There are three distinct modes, each with its specific functionality:
Mode A –
S.BUS Servo Configuration: To enter Mode A, connect a battery to the power port of the program card. The LED 1 screen will display “A.” Press the middle button of SW2 to enter Mode A. Connect the S.BUS Servo to the program card, and the screen should display “—“. If nothing is shown, press the middle button of SW2 again.
Once the servo is connected, you can modify servo settings using SW2:
- “0” indicates the negative direction, “1” indicates the positive direction. Use SW1 to reverse the number between “0” and “1” and confirm by pressing the middle button of SW1.
- You can set channels from 1 to 18 by using SW1 and confirming the channel selection with the middle button of SW1.
- Adjust the left travel of the servo (50%-175%) using SW1 and confirm with the middle button of SW1.
- Adjust the right travel of the servo (50%-175%) using SW1 and confirm with the middle button of SW1.
- Shift the servo’s neutral position left or right (-30°~ 30°) using SW1 and confirm with the middle button of SW1.
- Test the servo’s maximum travel by turning SW1 left to find the minimum value and right to find the maximum value. To return to the neutral position, dial SW2 to set the number back to 6.
The screen will briefly flash for 1-2 seconds when you press down SW1 to confirm servo information. If the screen flashes for an extended period, it indicates a failure. In such cases, press down SW1 again. After completing servo settings, it is recommended to disconnect and reconnect the battery to ensure all information is set correctly.
Mode B –
S.BUS Decoder Configuration: To enter Mode B, connect a battery to the program card and then connect the S.BUS Decoder. If LED1 displays “B,” press down SW2. Meanwhile, LED2, LED3, and LED4 should display “—” to indicate Mode A. If nothing is displayed, press down SW2 again.
In Mode B, you can use SW2 to adjust S.BUS Decoder information:
- LED1 displaying “1” indicates the channel of servo on #1. You can change the channel from 1-18 by using SW1 and confirming with the middle button of SW1.
- LED1 displaying “2” indicates the channel of servo on #2. You can change the channel from 1-18 by using SW1 and confirming with the middle button of SW1.
- LED1 displaying “3” indicates the channel of servo on #3. You can change the channel from 1-18 by using SW1 and confirming with the middle button of SW1. (This means that the three outgoing interfaces have the same function.)
After confirming all information, disconnect and reconnect the power to ensure the settings are correct.
Mode C –
Voltage Checking:
- Connect the battery to the pin on the left side of the program card. Dial SW2, and LED1 will display “C.” While holding down SW2, the program card can check the battery voltage.
- The number shown on LED1 represents the cell number of the battery, while LED2, LED3, and LED4 should display voltage values. You can check each cell’s voltage by dialing SW2.
- When LED1 displays “T,” LED2, LED3, and LED4 should show the total voltage of the entire battery pack.
